Our Goal

We are TogetherPlay, and we are developing toys for children with autism. Toys are usually designed for neurotypical children, but this neglects the unique challenges that many children with autism face in their life and in their play. With our toys we try to emphasize social play because it is a common challenge for many children with autism.

Our Philosophy

It is important to motivate the child to interact through their interests. Interaction with the child should not be a forced activity, but an addition to an activity which creates more fun.

Our Toy: Cooperation Station

This toy consists of a train set paired with a story book. The parent can dictate what happens in the story for the child to mimic in real life. The focus of this toy is to allow for interaction between the parent and child with scenarios, which do not follow the typical question answer structure.

In the set, there is a toy train with scenery pieces and a special caboose with three carts for an elephant, a zebra, and a lion. The main feature of the toy is a soft cover spiral bound story book, which contains two simple stories of the animals’ adventures.
